1. Beau Is Afraid, directed by Ari Aster
I've been a fan of Ari Aster for a while, and I knew I was gonna go see that. But then, when I started hearing the controversy about it and about how people hated it, that got me excited. I knew if people were mad about this movie that I was probably gonna like it.
2. Killers of the Flower Moon, directed by Martin Scorsese
3. From the Oasthouse: The Alan Partridge Podcast
Anything Alan Partridge-related is something I will immediately consume and be excited about.
4. The song “Mono No Aware” by Ruth Garbus
I'm lucky—I do this podcast, Office Hours, and my producer is in charge of booking guests. He's really good about bringing in people that I might not know normally. So a lot of new music comes to me that way.
5. The Dakota Winters: A Novel by Tom Barbash
Tim Heidecker is the host of the weekly call-in podcast Office Hours Live. Tim Fest '24 will take place in Portland, Oregon in March.
